Introduction

Between Japan and Indonesia.

I’m Taichi Mori, known online as Taichan. I’m from Japan and have lived and studied in Indonesia for more than four years, graduating in Computer Science from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Living here has shaped how I share Indonesian culture from a Japanese perspective.

Today I create videos for an Indonesian audience, work on brand collaborations and support Japanese–Indonesian communication through translation and interpretation. Technology is part of my work too: I’m building this multilingual website and using AI-assisted video editing workflows.

During UGM’s community service program (KKN) in Kalitalang, I created videos about local tourism and community life. This Instagram Reel reached approximately one million views.
